While the wings are temporarily installed is a good time to fit the wing root fairings.  I started by bending the fairings to more closely form to the contour of the wing leading edge.

After some initial trimming, I started with the long (top) section and clecoed the fairings in place.

I had to take them off at least once to trim and get the fit right.  You have to leave enough gap to be able to install the rubber seal during final assembly.

I hung the flaps with temporary bolts.

No fitting was necessary.  The flaps had equal and appropriate gaps from the fuselage.

This looked like a good time to install the steps, so I clecoed them in place.
